ego: the self especially as contrasted with another self or the world.

ego: one of the 3 divisions of the psyche in psychoanalytic theory that serves as the organized conscious mediator between the person & reality; especially by functioning both in the perception of and adaptation to reality

Perception is NOT reality

Liberty:

the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life, behavior, or political views.

the power or scope to act as one pleases.

Sou(Liberty)

sou - a former French coin of low denomination; often used for any small amount of money; "he hasn't a sou to his name"

Cheap Liberty. #Liberia, A place where everybody has a right to stay if they choose, but not everybody has the privilege to come & go as they please. Or do they? Who are / were the gatekeepers? What is the value to you of something, (anything really) you didn't necessarily work hard, fair, or pay dearly for? Some people perhaps are working hard for the privilege... But who is giving, granting, and taking it away? What is the work in freedom? Does one value freedom you didn't suffer for? Is the value in the suffering? They say suffering is optional.

(Free) dom:

the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.

absence of subjection to foreign domination or despotic government.

the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.
